Jonas Kvarnström – American/Canadian English
Jonas ist the new voice behind New York based Rosetta Stone’s international image film.
Born in Sweden, he grew up in Vancouver on the West Coast of Canada where he completed his doctorate in musical arts. As a platinum award winning recording artist he gained early exposure to the stage and media, transferring his musical abilities to the voice. As a US-English(Canada) and Swedish Native Speaker with wide experience in French and German, he has worked for international companies such as Adidas, AMAZON, Apple, Audi, Boston Consulting Group, BMW, Discovery Channel, Disney, Google, Langenscheidt International, MacDonalds, Mercedes, Pro 7, Schindler, Siemens, and Red Bull and others...
As a true globe trotter Jonas has crossed the North American and European continents all his life. As his family is spread out all over the world, he decided to settle in Munich in 1992 following the completion of his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree (D.M.A.) at the University of B.C., Canada.
Taking up a teaching position at the Theater Akademie August Everding /University of Performing Arts Munich he went on to develop his musical and speaking talents on an international basis, working on stage, as well as in the recording studio.
His 8-CD Musical Soundscapes series went on to win mutiple Platinum Awards from the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Currently his piano recordings – Best of Piano Movie Themes* - have made it into the top charts of iTunes and Spotify, giving him further international exposure.
Jonas works mainly in English (Canadian) , bridging the gap between US and English pronunciation, using clear diction and neutral colouring. His Swedish carries a clean Stockholm accent, being accessible to all clients of the scandinavian countries. German and French, both fluent, co-exist on a high level with correct accentuation. This is particularly interesting for international companies who need products addressed in several languages simultaneously.
Jonas works out of his own professional recording studio (Blue J Music Studio) , where recordings and voice-over productions are supported by a host of high end equipment and Beckstein grand piano.
